HealthcareIM was born from my years working alongside surgeons in operating rooms, hospitals, and private practices across the country. For more than a decade, I had the privilege of assisting orthopedic spine and neurosurgeons during procedures, supporting clinical teams, and helping introduce new technologies designed to improve patient outcomes. Through that experience, I gained a deep appreciation for the dedication physicians bring to their patients every day—and I also saw the immense administrative and operational challenges they face.

Working closely with surgeons allowed me to hear their frustrations firsthand. Many physicians spend years mastering medicine but are expected to simultaneously manage the complex business side of healthcare—credentialing, compliance, staffing, billing, contracts, and marketing—often without the time or resources to do it effectively.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, those challenges intensified. Practices were forced to rapidly adapt to staffing shortages, evolving regulations, and changing patient care models. Watching physicians navigate these pressures reinforced something I had been thinking about for years: doctors should be focused on caring for patients, not struggling to manage the business of medicine.

 

That realization is what led me to create HealthcareIM after returning to school for a Masters in Healthcare Administration. My goal in founding HealthcareIM was to provide physicians with a trusted partner who understands both the clinical environment and the operational realities of running a medical practice. We help practices manage the many moving parts of healthcare operations—from credentialing and compliance to phone support, marketing, administrative management, and practice growth—so physicians can focus on what they do best.
